Server channels

The official server has several categories of channels:

• Announcements — patch notes, tournament news, dev posts. Read-only.
• General — free chat. The largest channel.
• LFG (Looking for Group) — find players for custom lobbies. The most useful channel for ranked prep.
• Tournaments — bracket announcements, signups, results. Watch this for community tournament dates.
• Tech support — bug reports, performance help, hardware questions.
• Region channels — NA East, NA West, EU, Asia, Oceania. Use these to find same-region players for lower-ping lobbies.
• Voice channels — opt-in voice for custom lobbies. The Lobby Etiquette page covers the etiquette.
• Memes — off-topic. Read at your own pace.

Finding a practice partner

The LFG channel is the best place to find a practice partner. A good post:

1. Your platform and input method (e.g., “Steam, keyboard”).
2. Your rank or self-assessed skill level.
3. Your timezone and the times you can play.
4. What you are practicing (e.g., “wall jumps on demo maps”).

Reply to existing posts if you fit someone else’s criteria. Most players reply within a few hours during peak times. The Tournament Prep page covers the four-week prep cycle that benefits from a practice partner.

Region-specific channels

Region channels reduce ping for crossplay friends. If you are playing with friends on another continent, the region’s latency is the bottleneck. The crossplay friend codes work across regions but expect 80+ ms ping for intercontinental play.

Tournament announcements

The Tournaments channel is the source of truth for community brackets. Most tournaments are posted 1–2 weeks in advance with signup links. Tournaments typically run on weekends to maximise participation.

The Tournament Mode page covers the in-lobby flow. The Tournament Prep page covers the prep cycle.

Voice channel etiquette

Voice channels are opt-in. The Lobby Etiquette page covers the rules:

• Push-to-talk is the default for a reason. Open mics create feedback loops.
• Coordinate with team modes only. Voice is for friends in free-for-all.
• Do not stream-snipe. If you recognise a streamer in voice, play normally.

Dev posts and patch notes

Fair Play Labs staff occasionally post in the Announcements channel. The dev posts cover:

• Patch notes for major updates
• Roadmap hints
• Community event announcements
• Bug status updates

The What’s New page covers confirmed updates.

Multilingual channels

The official server has multilingual channels for English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and other major languages. Find them in the Languages category. The Community Reddit page covers the broader community channels.

Community moderation

The server is moderated by volunteer moderators and Fair Play Labs staff. The moderation rules:

1. No doxxing or personal attacks
2. No cheating or exploit discussions
3. No advertising or self-promotion outside the designated channels
4. No NSFW content

Violations result in mutes, kicks, or bans depending on severity.
