SpeedRunners 2 Community Twitch
Streamers, tournament broadcasts, and how to follow the SpeedRunners 2 scene live.
The SpeedRunners Twitch community has been streaming SpeedRunners 1 since 2016 and SpeedRunners 2 since the demo launched. The competitive scene is small but dedicated, and the top streamers are the best teachers of high-skill play. This page covers the streamers to follow, how tournament broadcasts work, and how to find your own streaming community.
Top streamers to follow
The SpeedRunners 2 streaming community is small but active. Streamers worth following at launch:
- Fair Play Labs official — dev streams, patch breakdowns, and community nights. The official channel is the source of truth for upcoming features.
- SpeedRunners HQ — the publisher channel. Covers tournament broadcasts.
- Top community streamers — the leaderboard is fluid; the Tier List page references the top names regularly.
The streamer list changes month to month. Use Twitch’s directory under the SpeedRunners 2 tag to find currently-live streamers.
How to find live streamers
Twitch directories under the SpeedRunners 2 tag show currently-live streamers. The directory updates every few minutes. Twitch also has a SpeedRunners 1 tag for streamers who play both.
YouTube is also worth watching — the What’s New page links to the major trailers and breakdown videos.
Tournament broadcasts
Major tournaments are broadcast on Twitch through the Esports channels and the community broadcast hubs. Tournament broadcasts include:
- Pre-game analysis
- Live commentary
- Bracket visualisations
- Post-game interviews
The Tournament Mode page covers the in-lobby flow. The Tournament Prep page covers the prep cycle.
Watching to improve
Watching top streamers is one of the fastest ways to improve. The pattern:
- Pick a streamer whose playstyle you want to learn.
- Watch their VODs, not just the live streams — VODs let you rewind and re-watch key moments.
- Note their Wall Jumping chains and Items Strategy timing.
- Compare their movement lines to yours in Local & Practice.
The Advanced Tech page covers the high-skill moves you will see in streams.
Stream etiquette
If you watch a streamer and they play with viewers, the etiquette:
- Do not stream-snipe. Recognising a streamer’s voice and hunting them is a reportable offense.
- Use the chat constructively. Tips are welcome; toxicity is not.
- Do not advertise in their chat. Self-promotion in someone else’s chat is rude.
- Subscribe if you watch regularly. Subscriptions support the streamers who teach the community.
The Lobby Etiquette page covers the in-game version of these rules.
How to start streaming
If you want to start streaming your own SpeedRunners 2 play:
- Set up OBS or Streamlabs Desktop on PC. Console streaming requires a capture card.
- Connect Twitch or YouTube Gaming.
- Add a SpeedRunners 2 category tag.
- Start with low expectations — viewer count grows slowly.
- Join the Community Discord and Community Reddit to cross-promote.
Multilingual streamers
The Twitch community includes streamers in English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and other languages. Filter the directory by language to find your preference.
Following the competitive scene
The competitive scene moves fastest on:
- Twitch — live broadcasts
- YouTube — VODs and trailer breakdowns
- X / Twitter — short updates, tournament announcements
- Discord — community discussion
The Esports page covers the formal competitive structure.
Watching tournaments
When a tournament is live, the broadcast includes:
- Casters — commentators who explain the play-by-play
- Bracket view — live bracket updates
- Player cams — sometimes player webcams
- Chat — community discussion
The Tournament Prep page covers what players do to prepare for these broadcasts.
